Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
 

The U.S. Department of Education’s Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)  brings together IDEA information and resources from the Department and our grantees.

Bureau of Special Education Appeals (BSEA) 

The Bureau of Special Education Appeals ("BSEA") conducts mediations, advisory opinions and hearings to resolve disputes among parents, school districts, private schools and state agencies concerning eligibility, evaluation, placement, individualized education programs (IEPs), special education services and procedural protections for students with disabilities.

The Arc Massachusetts

The Mission of The Arc of Massachusetts is to enhance the lives of individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities and their families. We accomplish this through advocacy of supports and services based in the community.

Education Laws and Regulations 603 CMR 28.00: Special Education

Section 1C: Workshops on rights of students and their parents under special education laws of the commonwealth and the federal government
Section 1C. Each school district shall conduct, in cooperation with the local parent advisory council, at least one workshop annually within the school district on the rights of students and their parents and guardians under the special education laws of the commonwealth and the federal government and shall make written materials explaining such rights available upon request.
