sobre o evento
This Student & Parent Rights workshop is hosted by a legal team who is well versed about the laws that are in place to protect student and parent rights. This team will not only be sharing those rights with participants but also, have a quiz with scenarios that will help families learn how to practice their rights in real life situations. The team is also equipped to offer legal advice and representation.
This hybrid workshop will be hosted in person at the Brockton Community and Family Center (20 Union Street, Brockton) and also via Zoom. For in- person attendees we will have light refreshments and childcare available. Offered in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Portuguese.
Check out the other workshops in our Parents as Partners series, designed to give parents and caregivers a deeper understanding of how to advocate for their children in school, how to best support them and ensure they are set up for future success.
